- All have skeletal orthodontic malocclusion problems.

- All patients were caries free and had no restorations.
- All patients use a power toothbrush and sometimes it “hurts” to brush.
- Bleed index for the three patients ranges from 47% up to 80%.

- Smokes cigars – 5 or 6 a week.
- Moderate calculus deposits associated with all crown margins.
